Florence Rozeff has been part of the volunteer team at RMHC for 6 years; she has donated a total of 208 hours.
Florence has been an active volunteer throughout her life. When residing in Hawaii Florence started her volunteer steps with the Boy Scouts as a Den Mother. With her children in school, she actively participated with PTA, as an officer. She became a support for students thru the HOSTS program, which helps students improve their reading skills.
Florence started as a volunteer with RMHC thru a fellow volunteer, Shirley Snavely, who asked Florence if she would like to volunteer. Volunteering at the office she also has become an active volunteer at the VBMC Family Room-Harlingen. Florence feels she is able to contribute her time and talents to our organization. |

Yosene Hammond has been part of the RMHC volunteer team for about a year; she has donated a total of 192 hours.
Yosene read an article about needing volunteers at RMHC. She started by donating pillow cases, and stuffed toys she makes. Yosene was given the opportunity to attend orientation for the VBMC-Family Room. She has also assisted in the office and is always available to be our HERO for last minute needs.
Yosene was a church secretary for 10 years and Sunday school teacher. She enjoys people, and is an avid listener to those who open up and share their stories. Yosene feels she is able to contribute to the families who she sees at the Family Room. Making a difference in people’s journey thru life is what she feels is most rewarding.

Ray Anzaldua has been part of the RMHC volunteer team for about two years; he has donated a total of 427 hours.
After retiring he found lots of free time and decided to volunteer. Ray assisted at as a shuttle driver for a tournament at Palm Valley. At the event he met Shirley Robinson who told him about Ronald McDonald House Charities. He decided it would be a good way to use his free time.
Ray enjoys the appreciation he gets from those he has helped. He believes in the saying It is more blessed to give than to receive. Ray’s experience as a volunteer has given him the opportunity to do for others and get much more in return. He feels blessed to be able to bless others. “I am honored and humbled by this award. I thank you, the Staff at RMHC-RGV, for giving me this opportunity to serve my community.”
