It’s Wild Game Feast Time!
One of the Rio Grande Valley’s most unique and successful fundraising events will be back for a 13th year on Saturday, February 11, 2012. The Wild Game Feast, benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Rio Grande Valley, is an evening like no other in the Valley. We’re hoping you will want to take part once again.
Last year’s Wild Game Feast raised over $100,000.00. Those funds went to work immediately to provide comfort and care to families of seriously ill children. The Valley’s Ronald McDonald House in Harlingen welcomes hundreds of families each year as a home-away-from-home while their children are hospitalized. Most of those families are from cities and towns right here in the Rio Grande Valley.
This year’s Wild Game Feast will have many of the same features you’ve grown to expect – a delicious dinner of both wild game and traditional fare, silent and live auctions, and great music. We know you’ll want to take part in this rich Rio Grande Valley tradition.
Your sponsorship of this event will make a difference in the lives of the children and families who depend on Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Rio Grande Valley. We hope you will review the enclosed materials carefully and consider increasing your support this year. With your help, we can make the 2012 Wild Game Feast the most successful in our history!
Sincerely,
Linda Burke, Board Chair

Billy Griffin and Mary Pack make their monthly contribution of groceries for our Ronald McDonald House families. Thanks to the donation of food items, families are able to prepare a warm meal. |

Elementary School children can help provide comfort and care to Rio Grande Valley families.
Each year, Ronald McDonald House Charities receives help from thousands of school-children across the Rio Grande Valley.
How the pull tab works:
Elementary Students collect pull tabs from beverage cans to recycle for proceeds to benefit families in need who use our services. These funds collected are used to offset the expenses incurved of housing the families. The families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House are asked for a $10.00 donation, however if the family is not able to provide the funds they are not turned away. The school that collects the most pull tabs during the school year will receive a personal Thank you from Ronald McDonald. This school will receive an exclusive magical show for their efforts in support of the Pull Tab Program. This school also receives the Traveling Trophy to display thru the upcoming school year.
By collecting the pull tabs elementary students are taught about donation, helping others, and working as a team. The Pull Tab program also provides educational benefits like reinforcement on mathematical concepts, teamwork and character building through community involvement.
